Last spring I ordered several trees and they were shipped and upon receipt looked like little sticks, not at all what they showed on the advertisement. I was extremely disappointed because of the prices vs size. Did follow all the directions and some of them so far this spring are ok but still pretty little.
Three of them never did a thing besides look like little sticks the day they arrived. I'd called 3-4 times and documented with the issue with Nature Hills and they said they'd replace them should the trees not make it. They remained dead. This spring Nature Hills said to come out to their facility and pick new replacement trees. I did and I was angry when they told me the price for replacement -- heck it was higher than what I'd paid for them. I walked away deciding to wait until I cooled off to handle it. I called today and they said No deal, there is a 50% off agreement on their replacements. Not good Nature Hills - not good custom
I was sent an oak tree in November that did not have roots on it. I was concerned, so I took a picture just in case, but assumed the company knew what they were doing and the tree would be fine.
By April all our plants were blooming except the tree. I emailed the company with the picture. I did not get a response to the email, so I called. At that time I was told the trees take 4 weeks longer to bloom.
I called in May and was told the policy is if you don't call immediately after receiving the product you pay 50 percent and shipping costs to get a new one. After waiting 2 days for the manager to return my call, I explained to her I really wasn't comfortable giving more money based on what they sent us, but paying more money was the only option.
I'm now left without that cash and a dead tree and they won't do anything about it besides take more money.
I placed a late season order for seven roses totaling just over $300, including shipping. Unfortunately, they were dormant upon receipt with dried buds and branched falling off. I couldn’t judge if these were going to be healthy plants and of course two of the seven didn’t come back. I spoke w/ Bill in customer service who told me I could have two replacements at half price plus shipping. What a rip off. They wanted to charge me $50 to fix their inability to ship healthy plants. Oh, it is June and I was told they also wouldn’t ship until “mid-fall”.
Based on the poor plants I received, their lousy customer service and self stacked service policies, each order is a potential disaster and I can’t ad
